Brewing & Meadery
Folklore Brewing and Meadery was founded in 2013 by the Pate family and friends. Founder Jeremy Pate was curious about how they made beer so he homebrewed his first batch of beer in 1997 and the rest was history. Working as a consultant to start up other breweries across the US, the dream of one day having a brewery in our hometown would come true on Halloween night 2013! With a focus on Kids, Pets and Veterans, Folklore Brewing became the first packaging brewery in Dothan/Houston county on record and offers a variety of flavors at your local craft beer shops, restaurants, grocery stores and pubs.
Folklore now serves as a common meeting ground for countless get-togethers, reunions, birthdays, celebrations of life, you name it! With 5 acres of open land, Folklore features a stage for live music, a large enclosed Biergarten, kids playground, RV camping and seasonal festival events makes Folklore Brewing in Dothan the destination location! With a separately owned restaurant on site, Blue Moon Cafe and visiting food trucks keep customers well fed while visiting. Brewer Jacob will be keeping us well supplied with new flavors on the horizon.
In 2023 a second location was opened in Enterprise, Alabama, the hometown of Jeremy Pate. Located in the Westgate shopping center on Boll Weevil Circle, next to Rituals Day Spa and Yancey Parkers you will find a vivid, color filled space inviting friends and family inside. Local artist Katie Hughes who has her own downtown art studio, Eyecatchers Artworks Studio was commissioned with making our sister location a place of creative beauty. It is now featured as an immersive craft beer art cafe that is family-friendly and features watercolor or acrylic paint lessons, activities for kids and outdoor games on the new enclosed patio!
Both locations offer fresh craft beer, meads and now Spirits! Friendly Pets are welcome on a leash outdoors at both locations. To find out more about RV camping or special events contact us today.
Jacob Sellers
Jacob, a Wiregrass native, worked with Jeremy for 7 years at Folklore Brewing before going off to be the Brewmaster at Fairhope Brewing for 3 years. In May of 2024, Jacob returned to Folklore with a whole new repertoire of brews and partnered with Jeremy to make Folklore better than ever.
